Pith, hmm. Here's another song from that "shut up and fuck" cassette. You know, only 2 (or 3?) copies of that still exist: Crack has one, Spliff has another, and the third i gave to some other dude back in 1997 (the 4th was mine - a tape deck ate it). If he's clever, he'll sell it on Ebay for a ball of lint when we become famous.
The original Pith song was about 16 minutes long. Together with a redundant re-edit it was the basis for the SU&F tape. I remember Crack commenting about my extensive recycling of patterns in the original .MDL file (the terms are far too obscure for you to possibly understand). I liked the song anyway, and still do quite a bit, so a couple years ago i cut out most of the filler and put it up here.
That sample at the end is from a Marilyn Manson interview (i was a big fan, see) on the old 93.7 FM "the edge". There's another sped-up sample in there from a song by a band so incredibly awful, i dare not mention their name here

It's a relief that it's less that fifteen minutes now, but I tend to think longingly back to the time when it said, "God. The devil. God... Disgusting!" Of course, for those of you who don't know, the "disgusting!" sample was from Agustus's mother exclaiming at the river of chocolate flowing through the Wonka factory--"What a dirty, disgusting river!"
As for that cassette, I think I have more than one (read: probably no more than two) in a box somewhere. I wonder if the Pinconnector / Polygonskull / TRS-80 still has that cassette, along with one of the Mezzanine Stairs Album CDs that was burned from 112kbps MP3 source audio. Oh, and I shouldn't forget Turboflex's "Are you ready for the meltdown baby?" poster that I sent with the cassette.
